The International Equities Asset Division looks to provide students with an introduction to international markets, Bloomberg terminal, valuation, risk, industry and company research, the ethical standards around the world, and allows students to have their own impact on TCSIF. This division’s main focus is to diversify the fund’s portfolio through the addition of international equities that have been thoroughly analyzed and have been voted on by the division and president of TCSIF. Students will also be introduced to major rating agencies as well as an introduction to the industry’s key regulators: FINRA, FSMA, IOSCO, FSB, and the SEC. Students will learn code of ethics throughout the international stage to better understand companies’ impacts on emerging markets and society. The team meets weekly in person (subject to change) and is student-led through reading materials and group discussions. Throughout the semester analysts will work in small groups to formulate and present their final investment picks; as well as, work on group projects that cover various topics within international equities space.
