Current Leadership

Amna Zeb ’25 – President

Amna is a Junior from Corpus Christi, Texas, pursuing majors in Economics (BS) and Mathematics. During her sophomore year, Amna joined the Trinity College Student Investment Fund as a Domestic Equities Analyst and headed Diversity in Finance in her junior year. At Trinity, she is also involved in the Student Technology Assistant Program, the CFA Research Team, and several student committees. In Summer 2024, Amna will be interning at a New York-based hedge fund. Prior to this, she was a Private Equity Summer Analyst at Vista Equity Partners and a Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program Scholar. In her free time, Amna enjoys connecting with her family and friends and playing golf.  

Jon Carafotes ’24 – Chief Investment Officer

Jon is a Senior from Worcester, Massachusetts pursuing a BS in Economics at Trinity College. This past summer, Jon was a Private Wealth Management Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs in their Boston, MA office. Last spring, he was an Equity Research Analyst at Bradley Foster & Sargent Inc. in Hartford, CT. In the Summer of 2022, he interned at Flagship Wealth Advisers in Wakefield, MA, where he was able to pass the SIE and Series 7 examinations. On campus, he lives in Crescent and serves as an intern in the Career & Life Design Center. In his free time, Jon enjoys golfing, going to the beach, and watching all Boston sports teams. 

Mae O’Neill ’25 – Chief Operating Officer

Mae is a junior from Milton, Massachusetts, and is majoring in Political Science with minors in Formal Organizations and French. On campus, Mae is the Chief Operating Officer for the Trinity College Student Investment Fund. Her role includes overseeing the marketing, communications, and operations efforts for all members. She is also a student mentor for the Kelter Leadership Corps, the Co-Philanthropy Chair of the IVY Society, the Event Chair of the Mark Twain Center, and a barista at Peter B’s. This past summer, Mae was a research and data intern at FINTRX, a family office and RIA platform. In her free time, Mae enjoys spending time with friends and family in Marshfield, MA.

Matthew Pecora ’24 – Head of Investment Banking Prep

Matthew was born and raised in New York until attending Cardigan Mountain School in New Hampshire and Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts for his middle and high school years. At Trinity, Mathew is on the Men’s Lacrosse Team and is majoring in Economics. Matthew founded the Investment Banking Prep group in TCSIF during his sophomore year. On campus, he is a Teaching Assistant in the Economics department, a member of the Honor Council, and a barista at Peter B’s. Matthew spent this past summer as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Jefferies in New York City and is set to return full-time starting next summer. Matthew has previous internship experience in investment banking and private equity. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family and dogs.

Gerard Marretta ’24 – Head of Macro

Gerard is a senior from Brick, New Jersey and is pursuing a BA in Economics with a minor in Legal Studies. He is involved in the Trinity community through the Student Investment Fund and Captain of the Men’s Varsity Ice Hockey Team. Gerard is the Head of Macro for the Student Investment Fund, working closely with the CIO and asset class heads to help effectively manage the TCSIF portfolio. Part of his role is creating weekly market reports highlighting important macroeconomic data and market movements which are published on LinkedIn every Friday. He previously interned at Planning Alliance and passed the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) examination in the summer of 2022. He worked for a private equity search fund, Spinnaker Capital Management, as a fall 2022 analyst, and this past summer he interned at J.P. Morgan as a Private Bank Summer Analyst. Upon graduation in May of 2024, Gerard will return to J.P. Morgan in New York City as a Private Bank Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group. In his free time, Gerard enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, and surfing.

The Investment Fund

Nick Bailey ’24 – Head of Equity Research & Modeling

Nick is a senior majoring in Economics with a minor in Formal Organizations. He is the Vice President of Trinity’s Entrepreneurship Club and the quarterback for Trinity’s football team. His work experience includes working for private lending firms, a sports media company, Rockefeller Capital Management, UBS, and Bradley, Foster, and Sargent. Nick leads the Alternative Investment sector for TCSIF. This past summer, Nick interned at Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis (CBRE) in the Investment Banking Division.

Jay Ottomanelli ’26 – Head of Sustainability

Jay is a sophomore from Long Island, New York, pursuing a major in Political Science alongside a double minor in Formal Organizations and Philosophy. In addition to being the Head of Sustainability for TCSIF, Jay is a member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team. This past summer, Jay was a Wealth Management Intern at Raymond James and is an incoming intern at Rosecliff Ventures, a diversified Investment Management firm in New York City for Summer 2024. In his free time, Jay enjoys traveling, wake surfing, and skiing.

Ned Blanchard ’24 – Co-Coverage Head – TMT

Ned is a Senior from West Hartford, CT pursuing a BA in Economics with a minor in Formal Organizations. Prior to Trinity, he attended the Westminster School in Simsbury, CT for four years. Before leading TMT coverage, Ned was involved in the Trinity College Student Investment Fund as a member of the Portfolio Management team. On campus, Ned is a member of the Men’s Varsity Ice Hockey Team and a Team IMPACT ambassador. This summer, he will be joining Cantor Fitzgerald as a 2023 Sales and Trading Summer Analyst in their New York City Office. In his free time, Ned enjoys going to the beach, running, and is an avid golfer.

Colin Koch ’27 – Co-Coverage Head – TMT

Colin is a first-year at Trinity from Atlanta, GA, pursuing a B.A. in Economics. Before Trinity, he attended Pace Academy for thirteen years. Colin first joined the Trinity College Student Investment Fund this past fall and currently serves as the Co-Coverage Head for TMT. Colin was previously a securities analyst at KAM South, and an investment intern at Progress Investment Planning. In his free time, Colin enjoys lifting, going to the beach, traveling, and playing tennis.

Justin Torres-West ’24 – Coverage Head Industrials

Justin is a Senior from Stamford, Connecticut, where he attended King School. Currently, Justin is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Along with being Head of Industrials for TCSIF, Justin is a member of the Football Team. His work experience includes interning for a private lending firm, and Flowcode, a direct-to-consumer QR start-up. This past summer Justin interned at Stifel in New York City, in their Sophomore Explorer Program with rotations through Equity Research, Fixed Income, and Investment Banking. He has been extended an offer for the summer of 2023 as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In his free time, Justin enjoys playing golf, angling, and field sports.

Matthew Marottolo ’24 – Coverage Head Consumers

Matt is a Senior from Wethersfield, CT and is pursuing a BS in Economics and Minor in Italian Studies. Matt currently works on the in-house Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team of The Chefs’ Warehouse, a globally recognized Food & Beverage distribution business (NASDAQ: CHEF). His ongoing commitment revolves around the analysis of prospective M&A targets for the organization throughout the academic year and is eagerly anticipating the successful conclusion of several deals. On campus, Matt is Head of Consumer Research for TCSIF, a Bass in the Chapel Singers, and serves as the President of the Accidentals. Matt also actively participates in club sports. In his free time, Matt enjoys Olympic lifting, reading into the markets, and watching the NY Giants absolutely dominate the NFL.

Rob Groebel IV ’26 – Coverage Head Health Care

Robert Groebel is a sophomore from Villanova, Pennsylvania, majoring in economics. At TCSIF, Robert is the Healthcare Coverage Head and is an active member in the Investment Banking Prep Group. In the past, Robert has interned in venture capital, private equity, and corporate audit. In his free time, Robert enjoys snow/water skiing, tennis, music, and traveling.

Peter Sanger ’26 – Coverage Head Energy

Peter is a sophomore from Wilmington, Delaware, attending Westminster School for four years and Salisbury School for one year as a postgraduate before matriculating to Trinity. At Trinity, Peter is pursuing a BA in Economics with a minor in Formal Organizations and is a member of the Men’s Golf Team. Previously, he worked as an International Equities and Portfolio analyst for TCSIF and is completing Trinity’s Summit to Wall Street program this summer. In his free time, Peter enjoys spending time with friends and family, skiing, playing ice hockey, and fishing. 

Sudhish Thapa ’26 – Coverage Head FIG and Real Estate

Sudhish is a sophomore from Kathmandu, Nepal pursuing a BS in Economics with a minor in Japanese. Prior to Trinity, Sudhish attended United World College ISAK Japan (UWC ISAK Japan) for high school. He started in the Trinity College Student Investment Fund as an International Equities analyst and is now a coverage head for Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Real Estate. During the spring of his freshman year, Sudhish participated in PJT Partner’s Freshman Bridge Cohort program. This summer, he also completed Trinity’s Summit to Wall Street program which made him more knowledgeable about finance and expanded his networking. In his free time, Sudhish enjoys playing basketball and listening to music. 

Sector Heads

Tyler Gordon ’25 – Domestic Equities Sector Co-Head

Tyler is a junior from Avon, Connecticut, and attended Avon Old Farms for high school. He is pursuing a BS in Economics with a minor in Formal Organizations. This summer, Tyler joined HFM Wealth Management in Hartford as a research analyst. In his free time, Tyler enjoys hanging out with friends and family and spending the summers in Newport, Rhode Island. 

Cole Berglund ’25 – Domestic Equities Sector Co-Head

Cole is a junior from Norwell, Massachusetts, and majoring in Economics with a minor in History. This past summer Cole studied at the Tuck Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth College and this upcoming summer will be working as a Sales & Trading intern at Redburn Atlantic in New York, which is a subsidiary company of Rothschild & Co Group. In his free time, Cole enjoys playing golf, hanging with friends, and competing for the Trinity men’s league hockey team.

Bradley Abel ’24 – International Equities Sector Head

Bradley Abel is a senior from Andover, Massachusetts, pursuing a BA in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. On campus, he has been involved as the Head of International Equities for the Trinity College Student Investment Fund, the Captain of the Trap and Skeet Team, a member of the Men’s Rowing Team, and a First-Year Student Mentor. Bradley has worked as a Legislative Intern at the Connecticut General Assembly, as a Fall Intern at Katz & Seligman, and graduated from the D.C. Summer Institute on Law and Policy at Duke University School of Law. Bradley was a Summer 2023 Wealth and Investment Management Operations Intern Analyst at Wells Fargo in Minnesota. 

Gabe Zeccolella ’24 – Fixed Income Sector Head

Gabe is a senior from Long Island, New York, and is majoring in Public Policy & Law, with a minor in Formal Organizations. On campus, Gabe is the Head of Fixed Income for TCSIF, the President of the Mark Twain Center, and the Vice President of Psi Upsilon. During his free time, Gabe enjoys golfing, exercising, walking his dogs, and going to the beach. After graduation, Gabe will be joining RBC Capital Markets as a Municipal Finance Investment Banking Analyst in their New York City office. 

Henry Furneaux ’25 – Alternative Investments Sector Head

Henry Furneaux is a Junior from Hartford, Connecticut, majoring in Economics and minoring in Formal Organizations with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. Prior to matriculating to Trinity College, Henry graduated from Avon Old Farms School, where he served as class president and continues to be an active alumnus. At Trinity, Henry is a proud 1823 Scholar Merit Scholarship and Rabbi & Mrs. Abraham J. Feldman Scholarship Fund Recipient. Henry first joined the Trinity College Student Invesment Fund (TCSIF) during the Fall Semester of his First-Year. Since then, he has been a member within the Domestic Equities Sector, the Alternative Investments Sector, the Summit to Wall Street Program, and the Portfolio Analyst Program. Outside of TCSIF, he has served as an intern at Bradley, Foster, & Sargent Inc. in equity research, at Connecticut Children’s as an investment deal analyst, at Prudential Financial where he assisted financial advisors, client management, as well as recruiting efforts, and, lastly, at the Connecticut Small Business Development Center as a start-up venture analyst. Henry hopes to leverage his prior internship experiences along with his membership experience at TCSIF to efficiently lead and educate fellow students within the Alternative Investments sector. 

Wall Street Professional Development

Nick Siffringer ’25- Investment Banking Prep Co-Head

Nick is a Junior from Franklin Lakes, New Jersey and is pursuing a BS in Economics with a minor in Applied Mathematics. Before Trinity, Nick attended the Delbarton School in Morristown, New Jersey. At Trinity, he plays on the Men’s Ice Hockey Team and is a member of the student-Athlete Advisory Committee. After his sophomore year, Nick worked as a Summer Analyst at Sperry, Mitchell and Company, a boutique investment bank focused on clients in the lower middle market. This summer, he will be working at Guggenheim Partners as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. In his free time, Nick enjoys cooking, running, and playing golf. 

Nicole Balbuena ’26 – Head of Diversity in Finance

Nicole is a sophomore from Queens, New York, pursuing a double major in Computer Science and French, complemented by a minor in Spanish. Before Trinity, she attended The Taft School in Watertown, CT. Nicole joined the Trinity College Student Investment Fund in her first year and has been a member of the Domestic Equities sector, Alternative Investment sector, Investment Banking Prep Group, and Women in Finance. She now oversees the Diversity in Finance group. Outside of the Investment Fund, she serves as a Career & Life Design Intern. During the summer of 2023, Nicole gained valuable experience as a Sales and Trading Intern Analyst at JP Morgan in New York City. She has secured an internship at Jefferies for the summer of 2024. In her free time, Nicole enjoys practicing pilates and spending time with her family and dog.   

Helen Fajemirokun ’26 – Co-Head of Women in Finance

Helen Fajemirokun is a sophomore from the United Kingdom and New York, who is studying Economics and Art History. Within TCSIF, Helen is additionally involved in the Alternative Investments Sector and the Investment Banking Prep Group. At Trinity, Helen is also a member of the Entrepreneurship and Head of DEI for Kappa Kappa Gamma. She spent her last summer studying accounting at the London School of Economics as well as doing credit score research for the Tory Burch Foundation. During her free time, Helen is an avid reader and skier.   

Madison Oatley ’26 – Co-Head of Women in Finance

Madison is a Sophomore from West Palm Beach, Florida. Before attending Trinity, she was a student at Episcopal High School. She is majoring in Economics and International Studies. She has worked as a volunteer and fundraiser for the American Heart Association in her hometown. Madison joined the Investment Fund as an International Equities Analyst and is currently the interim Co-Head of Women in Finance. During her free time, Madison enjoys running, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
